Satisfaction
It was after Christmas when The Rolling Stones posted their 2014 tour dates on their website. That first tour poster had Singapore on it -- which later disappeared from subsequent announcements on their Facebook page. So were they coming or not?
There must be ways to find out. Google alerts, hounding music writers, even friends at the British High Commission -- if they knew Prince Andrew was heading this way, surely they'd know if Mick Jagger was too.
The Stones teased us for two months. Tickets went on sale yesterday morning. Set the alarm clock, got up, turned on the Mac, joined the booking e-queue, and some 30 minutes later ... satisfaction. By then, the selection of available tickets was already limited. They probably sold out in an hour.
March will be a rock 'n' roll month. We have tickets to Eric Clapton, and now the Stones a week later. March is also when I hit the mid-century bump. It's fitting to celebrate it with septuagenarians who are proving that you can still rock at that age. :)
