Breakfast is the most important meal of the day -- but is it still breakfast when the first meal of the day was at 4.30pm? I got out of bed at 3pm today. The dogs stayed in bed and would have stayed there until I made the bed and tossed them out of it. Looks like I'm not the only one in for a long, lazy weekend.

The most important meal of the day can be anytime you want to eat it -- but I think it's only breakfast if you eat breakfast food (eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, oatmeal, cereal, etc). Otherwise it's just a meal.
It was "chwee kuay", little steamed cakes of rice flour, topped with a spoonful of preserved, salted diced radish. It's a local breakfast. And of course I only thought of taking a photo after eating the last mouthful. That's why I'll never make a food blogger. :)
Sounds interesting -- radish would probably not be in my list of wants for breakfast food, but what fun to have such a meal once in a while. We traditionalists have a hard time changing up our eating habits. I've found I get less and less adventuresome as a continue to age. Next time we want that photo.
