Holding paws

Last night, L was scrupulously wiping Queeni's paws after the last walk of the night and she was fussing. He remonstrated with her: "It was muddy outside and Daddy must wipe you clean so later we can hold paws in bed."

It's our fifth anniversary of being Properly Married tomorrow and what happened to holding hands with the wife?

Happy anniversary! Didn't remember the date, but the event, that lovely afternoon by the beach, feels like it was just yesterday. - ES, Moon-naut

What a sweet, sweet picture! No wonder he's known as "Rock Studly!" I never see Will cuddling like this -- but after 17 years of dogs he now eats after them on bites of food -- nearly as good, I think (you should have seen his face the first time I DID it!). M.

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! Apparently the traditional gift for a 5th anniversary is wood. Hmm ... wonder what he'll get you?

Ah, we were just wondering what the traditional gift was. And right after that I remarked who would have thought, two furkids five years on. And now it blends together, our wood is That Blockhead.

I got a pair of lilac Converse sneakers. I'm working up to a rainbow of Converses.

What's the tradition for the 6th anniversary, L asked. I guess he needs a year's notice.

awwww ... he's showing commitment, and forward planning.

It's Iron (as in the metal, not the implement by which you steam wrinkles out of clothing).

Not sure what that might get you? A pair of shackles?
